About Me
As part of my work with the community i worked with “Citizen598” to create a documentary called “This is the Place” for schools/Colleges around Leicester, i played the third alien who needed to know information about Leicester and its heritage. The purpose of this project is to teach students around leicester about leicester this gave me the skills to work with many different people that i never knew and also who are in different age groups i worked with people who were 11 to 21. it also gave me confidence to order people around so i could get the perfect camera shots and acting for the film.
I opened my first Youtube in 2007, i made all kinds of videos on “Windows Movie Maker” they were usually just images with music over. I did this up until i got a Mac and started experimenting with cameras (FlipHD and Cannon 55OD), software(Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and AfterEffects) and accessories for them. This allowed me to make more polished videos and also to create many mini movies.
I set up my account “DiGiTiLhEaRt” in May 27, 2009 and i have won many competitions for my music and movies for example
I was given some “Ear pollution Earphones” from iFrogs to review them to my audience ” They said i was a standing ovation” at the office and got to keep them. For this review i didn’t just do a boring written review where people could read and see if they like the, i created a video review, this allowed me to show off my creative talent by entreating the audience while giving them some useful information on the headphones which made people want to buy them.
i got one of my films “Bloody Hell 2 Part 1” screened at the Phenix Theatre at the Demon FM Film Festival and came 2nd in ‘Best Film’ Award, i play the main character who has a rare case of Dementia, who also has to fight the people of his past who are now caught up in the zombie apocalypse. The festival was aimed at 14 to 25 year olds and i came second place in the 14 to 19 categories. I Also won a trophy for Best Editing for the competition “Two Spires” with my movie “Reminiscence”, I play the main character who is lost in a lone world and who is trying to forget his past.
i also won a charity competition for “The Leicestershire and Rutland branch of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND)” i won them £1,000 worth of consultancy time with a web design company, by creating a video mentioning why they deserve to have the money, My uncle was killed by MND so i got my 10 year old cousin to talk about it in front of the camera with info about the illness and personal experience with it, this is what won us the competition. Me and my family strongly agree that NMDA should get the money and thats why we did it. In the end the MNDA never spent the money on a website they hired two professional web designers to create a website for them in their free time and used the £1000 to buy new technology for the organization
Work i am proud of.
Here are a few examples of what my work is like. Thank you for watching
DIRECTOR:
Hudson tyler had a competition where people around the world could create a music video for them and it will be featured on their website, twitter, facebook, youtube and VEVO. We created a video in which won the competition. i loved the time on set and was very happy we won. Tom Wallbanks was on the camera, Pete Bendoris was editing and i was the director.
To create a feature film you need a few things, a good team and commitment. the cinematography was done by a few of my friends including Andrew miles, Jordan Schofield and Tom Wallbanks. i created this film because i really wanted to push myself with direction skills, editing, Visual effects and my acting. I was amazed by the out come and very happy that all the Spider man fans enjoyed it also. Here is a scene from Spider-Man: Lost Cause where i acted my heart out. i spent countless hours making this scene perfect and on the day i tried to make myself cry. i was fully committed to this scene as it was very important in the story so i really needed my acting to be perfect.
EDITING:
Here is where i really pushed my editing skills. i needed to make a comedic video from such a simple idea and also when i was filming remember what i needed to do as if i didn’t film that part at the end the whole video would of been ruined. at the end of it i thought the video was pretty funny and actually enjoyed the idea and enjoyed the editing part of it.
VISUAL EFFECTS:
For this piece i was inspired by watching starwars to create my own planet. i really wanted to push my attention to detail so i thought snow would be perfect as i will need to heavily colour correct and see when i breathe as i will have to put particles from the air as i breathe to show how cold it is. Also this was to improve my acting as i would be talking to myself.
VOICE ACTING:
ANIMATION:
Here is a pitch myself and Jon Bains created. i used photoshop and after effects to create these animations. i always used position wiggles and just the position points to indicate where i want the character to move to and from. i was 100% inspired by the simple animation from South Park.
BLENDER:
A robot crash lands around a garage on the edge of a small town in mid west of america. The garage is inhabited by both humans and animated tools/objects. The purpose of the game is that players collect parts to enble the re-construction of the rocket to enable the robot to return to its own home planet. The protagonist are the tools etc and humans are the anatagonist. My main project will be the Cartoon cactus. i will be focused on many objects outside like cactuses, dust balls, signs ect but my main goal will be a Cartoon cactus, this cactus will be a plastic toy or rubber toy. for my inspiration for my cactus i will be focusing on a design i found on google of a cactus with a mexican hat and goggly eyes. i loved this design because it looks so fun to make, and i’m looking forward to creating a character with a personality. The personality i want to be a important thing. I Want the personality to be arrogant and impatient. If there is something that needs to be done, he’d rather run h off than wait. When talking to someone on the shelf, he usually tries to insult/talk bad of him a bit before proceeding to do anything else. He loves water and will stop anything he is doing to get one. He is very protective of his friends. He is very proud and boastful of his spikes, and will do ANYTHING to prove that he’s helpful. Just like Sonic the Hedgehog
SOUND DESIGN:
With this sound design i had to create and source every single sound within this project. i used freesound.org to get most atmospheric sounds and also some robot sounds. We ADRed all of the characters and also created most sounds in the blackroom of the studio with microphones and the state of the art equipment.
EUROPASS:
We created this for a competition for Europass. 3rd place in their competition. Personally i thought if we did win we would of got further especially with the 1st and 2nd place videos in mind but 3rd place is good for me.
YOUTUBE:
Making Videos has been a major part of my life since i opened my first Youtube in 2007, i made all kinds of videos on “Windows Movie Maker” they were usually just images with music over. I did this up until i got a Mac and started experimenting with cameras (FlipHD and Cannon 55OD), software(Final Cut, Photoshop and AfterEffects) and accessories for them. This allowed me to make more polished videos and also to create many mini movies.
When i was ten i edited my first video, i thought it was the best thing ever that i could edit different scenes from different movies into one which ended up to be pretty funny on my behalf i just loved how much freedom and power i got from it.
Along with editing i got a chance to share my stories around the world, i have always had a active imagination and also have been writing stories since i was eight and now i can finally bring my stories to life with my camerawork, friends and editing software.
I set up my account “DiGiTiLhEaRt” in May 27, 2009 and i have won many competitions for my music and movies for example
I was given some “Ear pollution Earphones” from iFrogs to review them to my audience ” They said i was a standing ovation” at the office and got to keep them. In 2010 me and two friends created a rap band “Ascension” for a media project, we made a interview, background story and music video for our first song in which we professionally made in the Wreake Studio. i made the instrumental beat to Eminem’s “I need a Doctor” in which we covered and remade the whole song into the story and renamed it “I Need Help” the rap stars me as the main character, i’m a depressed teenager that commits suicide while his two best friends watch and they try and bring me back to life. Being a big it on youtube i got a iTunes deal from “TuneCore” which let me place my music on iTunes for 76p each. Having this new deal “Ascension” was long gone and i made a new rap name for myself “Velosorapta” i have about 3 songs out at the minutes and already planned about 20 more singles and about two whole albums. 2013. i wasn’t interested in the music business.

At College i have Filmed, Edited and planned about four WreakeTV episodes, these episodes consist on events that has happened about the school in a two week period, i once edited a “Christmas Special episode” that had seven imported cameras in which carried about one hour and thirty minutes worth of footage so that is about eleven hours and thirty minutes worth of footage all together i made the music for the episode and edited this all together, the Show the episode was based on “Wreakes Got Talent” was about two hours long and i edited it to be 25minutes long in which the normal WreakeTV episode length was about, i edited this over a two day period.
I Also had to create a video of my tutor group in which was shown in assembly in front of about 200 people. The video was about the influence of Peer pressure and was told it got through to many people.
In my spare time I’m always editing, i have made a series on youtube called “Bloody Hell 2: Project Zero”, In my last year of Wreake Valley before 6th form i made a 30minute movie called “Bloody Hell” which was suppose to be a five minute project for course work but i wanted to tell the story so much i had to extend it for Youtube. on Bloody Hell together in all 3 parts we have more than 89,496 views on it, being this popular a year later we decided to make a full on feature length youtube movie in which is a sequel to “Bloody Hell” This is where “Bloody Hell 2: Project Zero” was born, we wanted to tell the true story of what happened and by doing this we gained an even bigger audience, at the minute Bloody Hell 2 is 1hour and 10minutes long, and we still haven’t finished and with all the different parts on youtube we have gained over 100,000.

Lost Cause: Myth of Arachne
ARACHNE (or Arachne) was an arrogant girl from the Greek town of Kolophon in Lydia who once dared challenge the goddess Athena to a contest in weaving. In the match Athena portrayed the gods seated in glory upon high thrones, while Arachne represent them in the guise of animals chasing after mortal girls. Athena was furious at her impiety and beat the girl with her shuttle, driving Arachne to hang herself in despair. The goddess then transformed her into a spider (Greek arakhnês).
